 Greetings,
This is an academic year unlike any other at APU. Quyana (thank you) for your incredible dedication and flexibility as we navigate the pandemic and work to provide the engaging courses, active learning, and personal relationships we all value at APU.
The 2020-2021 academic year will be a unique time, both on campus and around the world. We spent the summer developing plans and protocols with guidance from our partners at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and with direction from state and local authorities. I am confident that our comprehensive planning and a shared commitment to safety will help our community overcome any challenges together. Our Return to Campus planning document details new policies and expectations for the year. We have a shared responsibility to keep each other safe.
We also have a shared responsibility to make 2020-21 an exceptional academic year. The catalog outlines our course offerings and, as you can see, this remains a great time to be at APU. With several new programs and courses, a variety of course delivery formats, and opportunities for student engagement inside and outside the classroom, this is a great time to be at APU. The Academic Catalog outlines our course offerings, important academic polices, and information about resources that will help you be successful in your education program. Many things have changed, but we remain committed to active learning, innovative teaching, and student growth. APU is a thriving and resilient institution, and we know that our community can do extraordinary things in these extraordinary times.
