MBA 61800 - Financial Statement Analysis (3) In this course students will learn to interpret and analyze financial statements for credit, lending, and investment decisions. Students will be introduced to the financial statements user perspectives, accounting concepts and principles used in the measurement and reporting of results, and ratios. Comprehensive study of the 10K statement, analysis of financial results, benchmarking and industry comparisons, Altman’s Z score, transparency, and indications of earnings manipulations using real life case studies are included. Prerequisite: Basic competency in excel, foundational knowledge in accounting (undergraduate), or advisor/instructor permission. Offered Summer/Fall.
