PY 63300 - Research Methodology in Counseling Psychology (3) This course provides a theoretical and practical grounding in both quantitative and qualitative research methods and their application to counseling psychology. Data gathering approaches covered include individual and focus group interviews, observational research, case studies, grounded theory, and participatory action research. Classic methods of historical, developmental, survey, and experimental research will also be explored. Indigenous ways of knowing and working with indigenous populations within Alaska will be emphasized. Prerequisite: Admission to MSCP and PsyD Program. Offered Fall.
