PY 33300 - Psychology of Spirituality and Religion(4) This course provides an introduction to the psychology of the spiritual and religious life of the individual. The psychological nature and issues involved in spirituality and religion will be explored as they are experienced and expressed across the life span. Examples of issues and topics covered include the nature of religion and spirituality, religious socialization, religious experience, morality and values, attitudes and outlook on life, and the role of religion and spirituality in coping and adjustment as well as mental health and counseling. Satisfies the Ethics and Religious Values GUR. Prerequisites: two courses in Psychology or instructor permission. Offered Spring odd years.Competencies: SU; CT; CE
