AC 46300 - Accounting Information Systems

This course is designed to provide students a solid understanding of the interrelationships between accounting subsystems and the larger organizational communication systems, concepts of design and implementation. The course will address accounting systems cycles and how they interact with the organizational information systems; selection and implementation of accounting systems appropriate for the business; designing and implementing business processes, internal controls, and documentation; requirements of Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) and assessment of risk.
