HS 21800 - Ethics and Values in the Human Services


(3) This course examines ethical theory and personal values as they relate to the Human Services professional in the workplace. The goal is to provide a body of information and to teach the student a critical thinking process for resolving the basic issues faced throughout one’s career such as accountability in government, human rights, and personal and professional ethics. The ethics codes relevant to Human Services are reviewed. This course is designed to allow the student the opportunity to understand, interpret and apply professional ethics. Counseling elective for PY Major Studies. Prerequisite:  . Offered Spring.
