MAR 44000 - Fisheries Ecology (4) Fisheries Ecology provides the foundational theory and techniques for research and management careers in fisheries science. Students will examine and employ the theories and techniques of biology, ecology, oceanography and population dynamics applied to fisheries. The course is designed to train students to “have the ability to conduct high-quality scientific research in stock assessment, fishery population dynamics and related fields” (U.S. Dept. Commerce and U.S. Dept. Education 2008 NOAA Tech. Mem. NMFS-F/SPO-91). Prerequisite: MT 22000 , MT 24000 , SC 25000 , and SC 33000 . Offered: Annually
