Return to: Undergraduate & Graduate Academic Degree Offerings
The Liberal Studies Minor is intended for students majoring in fields other than Liberal Studies. The minor allows students to individualize the study plan and participate in discussions of current philosophical, social, creative, and political issues that are not addressed in more structured programs of study. Students can choose to focus on a particular topic such as storytelling, music, fiction, or Biblical study. Students also choose to enhance skills such as oral and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving which are crucial in all organizations. Courses in the minor cannot double-count with Foundational Studies.
