Earth Sciences MajorThe Earth Sciences major provides an integrated curriculum in geology, meteorology, and oceanography and a solid foundation in laboratory and field techniques. The degree program is for students interested in the physical aspects of the environment as well as climate and climate change, water science and policy, and ocean science and policy. The degrees prepare students to enter professional environmental careers with private consulting firms and public agencies at the county, state, and federal level. The degrees also equips students with the natural sciences and quantitative methodologies necessary to pursue graduate degrees in earth sciences.
