The Associate of Arts (AA) major in Business Administration provides a basic understanding of business principles and prepares the student for entry-level positions in business. Associate of Arts Degree courses can be applied toward a Bachelor of Arts Degree. This degree is offered completely online and in the evening for the convenience of our adult student population. Degree Completion students may want to obtain this degree if they have less than 60 transfer credits.
Students completing an Associates of Arts degree who are interested in a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management, Accounting, Human Services, or Health Services Administration may enroll in the Adult Undergraduate Program after completing the requirements for the Associates of Arts degree. Students must reapply and meet admissions standards to be admitted into the Adult Undergraduate Program. In this event, students must also meet the employment requirement and take additional General University courses (GURs) to meet the Bachelor of Arts degree requirements.
The following are the degree competencies for students pursuing an Associate of Arts in Business Administration
- Theory & Practice (T&P): Attain a foundational knowledge of the theories and practices of business
- Functional Intergration (FI): Understand the different functional areas of business and be able to articulate how they integrate
- Written & Oral Communication (WOC): Establish written and oral communication skills for improved performance in the workplace
- Quantitative Skills (Q): Establish quantitative skills for improved performance in the workplace and as a platform for additional quantitative skills acquisition

Total Credit Hours: 30-32
Minimum Graduation Credit Hour Requirement: 64
