The B.S. in Earth Science provides you with an integrated curriculum in geology, meteorology, climate science, and oceanography and a solid foundation in laboratory and field techniques.  The degree program is for students interested in the physical aspects of the environment as well as climate change, aquatic science, and ,oceanography.  The degree prepares you to enter professional environmental careers with private consulting firms and public agencies at the county, state, and federal levels.  The degree also equips you with the natural sciences and quantitative methodologies necessary to pursue graduate degrees in earth sciences.

As a graduate, you will earn a Bachelor of Science degree with demonstrated achievement in APU’s Essential Competencies:  Effective Communication; Critical Thinking; Cultural & Historical Perspective; Scientific Inquiry; and Ethical Engagement.
