Marine Biology, B.S.

The B.S. in Marine Biology provides you with expertise in the biological sciences applied to marine environments, systems, and resources.  The degree includes coursework in the physical and natural sciences, marine biology, policy conservation, mathematics, and statistics, as well as practicum, research methods, and a culminating senior project.  Marine Biology majors are equipped with knowledge, skills, and methodologies necessary for graduate study in marine sciences.  They are also prepared to enter professional careers with private consulting firms, non-governmental organizations, and public agencies at the state and federal levels. 


As a graduate, you will earn a Bachelor of Science degree with demonstrated achievement in APU’s Essential Competencies:  Effective Communication; Critical Thinking; Cultural & Historical Perspective; Scientific Inquiry; and Ethical Engagement.
