MBA 61800 - Financial Statement Analysis
(3) This course will introduce students to the financial statements, accounting concepts and principles used in the measurement and reporting of results, and analysis of financial statements using ratios. Comprehensive study of the 10K statement, analysis of 10-year trend of financial results, benchmarking and industry comparisons, Altman’s Z score, transparency, and indications of earnings manipulations using real life case studies are included. Prerequisite: Basic competency in excel, foundational knowledge in accounting (undergraduate), or advisor/instructor permission. Offered Summer/Fall.
