WL 11000 - Elementary Central Yup’ik Language II (4) This is continuing study of Central Yup’ik language students with some knowledge of the Central Yup’ik language. Students will develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Central Yup’ik for more effective communication and comprehensive use of language in everyday situations. The course also addresses the history of Alaska Native languages and culture. This course is held on the UAA Campus; alternative calendar may apply. Prerequisite: Elementary Central Yup’ik I (or permission of instructor). Offered Spring. Satisfies: Cultural and Historical Perspectives.
