Alaska Native Executive Leadership Program Certificate

The Alaska Native Executive Leadership Program (ANELP) Certificate is a partnership between Alaska Pacific University, Afognak Native Corporation, The Aleut Corporation, CIRI, Chugach Alaska Corporation, and Bristol Bay Native Corporation. Together these courses represent an executive leadership development curriculum co-designed to enhance and develop future Alaska Native leaders. The ANELP admits students to the Fall semester only.

Admissions

The application and admissions process for the Alaska Native Executive Leadership Program is outlined below:

  1. ANELP Graduate Certificate application for admission
  2. 500 word statement of interest describing your career goals and why ANELP will help you accomplish them
  3. Current resume demonstrating appropriate managerial experience
  4. Signed Executive Endorsement & Sponsorship Agreement
  5. Official transcript(s) from all postsecondary institutions, if applicable
    1. Please see general requirements for graduate studies at APU for additional information regarding the submission of official transcripts.

Prerequisites

Successful applicants will have the following minimum qualification:

  1. Minimum of three years managerial level or above work experience

  2. Currently holds a leadership position

  3. Undergraduate degree and/or 10 years of progressive work experience

Completion Requirements

In addition to successfully completing required ANELP coursework in Academic Good Standing (please refer to the Academic Standings section of the APU Catalog), participants must complete the ANELP Individual Development Plan and the Proof of Completion Form. Both forms are distributed by the Director of Corporate Programs at the beginning of the program.  The Individual Development Plan is completed throughout the program on a schedule determined by the Sponsoring Corporation.  The Proof of Completion must be completed and signed by the student and their mentor and submitted to the APU Director of Corporate Programs no later than May 15. A Graduate Certificate will not be issued until Proof of Completion is completed, signed, and submitted.
