Introduction to winter travel and camping, avalanche evaluation, backcountry skiing, and basic winter natural history. Course includes an Avalanche I curriculum. Lab fee required, plus personal food, equipment, and transportation costs. Prerequisite: OS 11000 . Offered Spring.
