The geological, physical, chemical, and biological factors that influence the marine environment in an Earth Systems approach. Study of marine resources and the role of the oceans to provide for global sustainability. Major topics include ocean circulation, waves, tides, coastal processes, and biological productivity. Prerequisite: One laboratory science course. Offered Fall.
