2023-2024 APU Catalog [ARCHIVED CATALOG]

Message from the President

Greetings,

It is an exciting time to be at APU! Our enrollment is growing, we have expanded our curriculum to meet the needs of our students and communities throughout the state, and we continue to develop opportunities for students to be engaged in communities through internships, professional development, research, and service.  This year, we will continue to work on the goals outlined in our Strategic Plan, focusing on:

Learning, Growth, Innovation

Community Engagement and Impact

Stewardship

As an Alaska Native-serving and Tribally governed university, we are committed to integrating Indigenous perspectives, culture, and knowledge into our campus and curriculum.  Our beautiful campuses in Anchorage and Palmer remind us of the value of our environment and community as a classrooms. This Academic Catalog describes APU’s distinctive place-based and experiential form of education.  I encourage you to take advantage of the learning opportunities highlighted in this Catalog and presented by the university and community partners throughout the year. I also challenge you to access the resources described in the Catalog to create your own, personalized path to success. APU will continue to thrive through the active engagement and unique contributions of all members of our community.

Best wishes for a productive year!
