MBA 63300 - Healthcare Finance (2) Students will analyze corporate and organizational finance in a healthcare context. Revenue challenges experienced by the healthcare industry will be examined, including funds generated from private, insurance, and publicly funded programs that interface with for-profit, non-profit, private, and governmental service organizations. Contractual negotiations that build the relationships among doctors, laboratories, clinics, and hospitals, utilization review, coding, and billing will be constructed. The Stark law and Anti-kickback Safe Harbors legislation will be blended into the discussion of the financial limitations placed on some health service entities. Prerequisite: MBA 61800 Financial Statement Analysis and MBA 67000 Corporate Finance . Offered: Spring or as needed.
